Then, head to the back-right corner of the room and use the hidden staircase behind the back wall to go up and reach the chest on the elevated platform. Fix Not-Bottomless Hole#11 on the wall to the right of the chest. Open the chest in the center of the room to gain Collectible Treasure No.72 Fire Vellumental Statue. After defeating the origami soldiers in this room, fix Not-Bottomless Holes#10 near the entrance. Walk through the doorway on the right side of the room with the faceless Toad. Return to the room where you found the faceless Toad. For now, ignore the warp pipe (it’s blocked on the other end) and drop down from this perch to use the Save Block. The chest contains a sound dic called “Heartbeat Skipper.” You’ll eventually come across a DJ to whom you’ll give the sound disc. You’ll be able to open the chest next to the warp pipe. Walk through the doorway on the left wall. None of them will be considered “Rescued” until you defeat the temple’s boss. Mysteriously all of the Toads you’ll discover throughout this temple are missing their faces. Fix Not-Bottomless Hole#9 on the right wall and then exit the room through the newly unlocked door.ĭestroy the origami Spiders to rescue the Toad in the center of the room. After defeating both Goombas, the holes on the floor disappear. Cover up all of the holes by pressing the switch on the floor next to the main door. They’re more of a nuisance than a real threat. If your Hammer misses the Goombas and hits the floor instead, holes will form on the floor surrounding you. Then, they’re defeated just like all the paper macho Goombas you’ve fought before, but beware, the floor of the room is booby-trapped! Hammer them a couple of times to remove their mummy wrappings. Paper macho Goombas will emerge from the large Toad statues. Walk over to the door on the back wall to trigger the next event. Not-Bottomless Hole#8 is on the left wall next to the entrance to this room.
Stand on the Magic Circle and use the 1,000-Fold Arms to rip off the torn piece of paper on the wall to reveal a set of stairs. Toad dig in the sandy part of the floor to reveal a Magic Circle. As soon as you make it up the steps, have Prof. Turn around and head to the back wall again. Walk to the left side and go down the steps toward the foreground to find Not-Bottomless Hole#2 and a ?-Block containing a Shiny Mushroom. You’ve fought them on the Princess Peach cruise, so they’re nothing new.Ĭontinue walking until you reach the back part of the room. Shortly after you enter the second room an origami Scuttlebug will ambush you from the ceiling.
Once you’re done with the Scuttlebugs, fix Not-Bottomless Hole#1 on the left wall and continue walking into the temple. If one attaches to Mario, spin quickly in a circle to knock it off. Hit them with your Hammer, or jump on them, to take them out. When you enter the first room in the temple, a group of small origami Scuttlebugs will drop from the ceiling.
